Treasure Valley, Idaho

An Idaho cabinet & millwork shop

Alderwood Cabinets is a vertically integrated maker in the Treasure Valley: we design, manufacture, and install custom cabinetry and millwork in-house — the way fine cabinetry was meant to be built.

Our Story

Craftsmen who build what they design

Alderwood was founded on a simple conviction: cabinetry is better when the same people who design it also build and install it. Too much of the market runs the work through a designer, an overseas factory, and a separate installer — and the details get lost at every hand-off.

So we do all three. Our craftsmen bring 20+ years of combined experience to a Treasure Valley shop where kitchens, whole-home cabinetry, and architectural millwork are designed, manufactured, and installed under one roof. Every project is drawn for a specific home, built to the inch, and set by the same team that made it.

We build in knotty alder, white oak, walnut, maple, and painted inset — woods that suit Idaho homes and stand up to daily use. And because we work as a licensed Idaho contractor (RCE-6681702), your project is permitted and handled properly from start to finish.

The Alderwood Difference

Why design-build-install matters

The advantage of one accountable maker shows up in the finished work — and in how the project runs along the way.

We build what we draw

Design, manufacturing, and installation happen under one roof. The person who draws your kitchen is accountable for how it fits on install day — no hand-offs, no imported boxes.

Built to the room

Every case is made to order for your space. We size cabinetry to the inch rather than fitting a stock box approximately and filling the gaps.

Solid-wood construction

Dovetailed drawer boxes, plywood cases, full-extension soft-close hardware, and hand-applied finishes — built to hold up to real, everyday Idaho use.

Woods suited to Idaho homes

Knotty alder, white oak, walnut, maple, and painted inset. We help you choose species and finishes against real samples, so the finished work matches what you approved.

A licensed Idaho contractor

Alderwood works under Idaho contractor registration RCE-6681702, so your project is handled by a registered contractor — not a cash-only installer.

One line of accountability

When one team designs, builds, and installs, there is no blaming the factory or the installer. We own the result from first measurement to final punch-list.

How We Work

Design → Build → Install

One team carries your project through all three stages.

01

Design

We visit your home, measure precisely, and develop the layout, elevations, and material selections your cabinets will be built from.

02

Build in our shop

Your cabinetry is manufactured in our Treasure Valley shop — plywood cases, dovetailed drawer boxes, and hand-applied finishes in the wood you chose.

03

Install

The same team sets and scribes every cabinet to the room, aligns grain and reveals, and walks a final punch-list with you.
