We are named for a wood, so it is no accident that species is where every Alderwood project begins. We design, manufacture, and install custom cabinetry in solid hardwoods — not imported boxes — choosing the wood to match your home, your finish, and how you actually live.

Species sets the look, the durability, and much of the cost of custom cabinetry. A knotty alder kitchen reads warm and rustic; rift white oak reads clean and modern; walnut reads quietly luxurious. The right choice depends on the style you are after, the finish you want, and how hard the kitchen will work — and in the dry, high-desert air of Treasure Valley, Idaho, it also depends on building each species to stay stable through the seasons.
