We build cabinetry to last and stand behind the craftsmanship and installation of every project. Here is how we think about warranty — honestly, and without fine-print games.
Custom cabinetry is a long-term investment in your home, and the confidence to make it comes from knowing who is accountable if something is not right. Because Alderwood designs, manufactures, and installs in-house, the person who drew your cabinetry is the one responsible for how it is built and how it goes in — there is no manufacturer in another state and no reseller in between.
We warrant our craftsmanship and our installation. In plain terms: cabinetry we build and install should be free from defects in our workmanship and materials, and if a genuine workmanship issue arises, we make it right. The specific terms — what is covered and for how long — are discussed and documented in writing as part of your project agreement, so you have them clearly rather than buried in a generic web-page disclaimer.
How We Stand Behind Our Work
Built, not assembled
We design, manufacture, and install under one roof. Because the same shop that draws your cabinetry builds and installs it, there is no chain of vendors to point fingers — one accountable team owns the result.
Solid-wood construction
Plywood cases, dovetailed solid-wood drawer boxes, and full-extension soft-close hardware are our standard, not an upgrade. Cabinetry built this way is made to last, and we build it to last.
Built for Idaho’s climate
We use kiln-dried wood acclimated to local conditions before fabrication, stable substrates, and properly sealed finishes — so cabinetry stays stable through the Treasure Valley’s dry air and seasonal swings.
A licensed Idaho contractor
Alderwood Cabinets works under Idaho contractor registration RCE-6681702. Your project is handled by a registered Idaho contractor and one accountable team — not a cash-only installer.
What We Document Per Project
Every project is different, so rather than promise a one-size headline number, we put the specifics in writing where they belong — in your agreement. When we discuss warranty, we cover:
- What our craftsmanship and installation warranty covers for your project
- The coverage period, documented clearly in your project agreement
- How manufacturer warranties on hardware, hinges, and finishes fit alongside ours
- What is considered normal wear versus a workmanship issue
- How to reach us and how we handle a warranty request
Straight talk: We would rather document real, specific warranty terms in your agreement than advertise a blanket “lifetime” promise that means little in practice. Wood is a natural material and hardware and finishes carry their own manufacturer warranties, so honest coverage is written to your actual project.
