Eagle Estate Kitchen in White Oak

A representative project showing an estate-scale kitchen built around rift-cut white oak — generous, warm, and modern, with the storage and proportions a large Eagle home asks for.

Eagle Estate Kitchen in White Oak — representative custom cabinetry by Alderwood Cabinets

A representative capability piece — it illustrates the materials, construction, and design approach we bring to this kind of project, not a photograph of a specific past client’s home.

The concept

An estate kitchen has room to be generous, so this piece leans into scale — a long working island, floor-to-ceiling cabinetry, and rift-cut white oak whose tight, linear grain reads modern without feeling cold. The oak suits the mountain-modern and transitional architecture common among Eagle’s larger homes.

How we build it

The cabinetry is drawn to the actual walls and built in our Treasure Valley shop with plywood cases and dovetailed drawer boxes on full-extension soft-close slides. A full-height pantry wall and integrated storage replace the old soffit-and-upper look, using the room’s height for storage and clean lines.

Details that matter

A beverage and coffee zone keeps the main run clear, deep drawer banks handle the working storage, and under-cabinet and interior lighting are planned into the build so the cabinetry glows in the evening. The oak is acclimated to local conditions before building so it stays stable through Idaho’s dry seasons.
