Eagle Great-Room Entertainment Wall

A representative project turning a great-room wall into architecture: a fireplace surround with flanking media cabinetry and display shelving, built as one piece.

Eagle Great-Room Entertainment Wall — representative custom cabinetry by Alderwood Cabinets

A representative capability piece — it illustrates the materials, construction, and design approach we bring to this kind of project, not a photograph of a specific past client’s home.

The concept

A great-room wall reads best when the fireplace, the media, and the display all belong to one composition rather than three separate purchases. This piece unifies them into a floor-to-ceiling surround, so the largest wall in the house looks designed rather than furnished.

How we build it

The surround is measured and built to the actual wall, with the hearth and TV placement planned in and the components — cabinets, open shelving, and a mantel or clean modern surround — proportioned to the room’s height. Media gear and cabling are concealed but accessible.

Details that matter

Adjustable display shelving, integrated lighting, and cable management make it as livable as it is handsome, and matched trim profiles tie it into the home’s other millwork. Built by the same shop as the kitchen, it carries the same wood and finish through the house.

Key Materials
